CHRISTINE BRKICH

As Artistic Director of InMotion Dance Company, Ms. Brkich was responsible for organizing, choreographing, and performing in Dancing Through Front-Tears, the company's successful tour of Croatia's Adriatic Coast. She has also adapted and directed various children's shows for the company, including Cinderella, and The Princess and The Pea. Ms. Brkich choreographed the live show of Dudley The Dragon for two consecutive seasons, and was also seen swinging in a commercial for Molson Export. A frequent guest teacher for Citie Ballet in Edmonton, Christine has also co-founded InMotion Dance Inc. (the school) with sister, Lisa Brkich working to broaden the artistic advancement of young dancers. Her contemporary works and collaborations with InMotion Dance Company include Somewhere In Between, FISH, All's Fair In Love And... and Size Zero. Ms. Brkich has had the pleasure of working with various artists including Lawrence Gradus, Danny Grossman, Randy Glynn, Molly Molloy, Tanya Bakala, and Kim Puil. Last season, Christine has choreographed the musical production of Oklahoma! for The Meadowvale Theatre for which she received the Encore Award. Christine continues to co-choreograph "Oliver!" for this season, and is also choreographing two contemporary works for The Guelph Contemporary Festival.
