| HERE WE GROW!
It gives us GREAT pleasure to announce that officially, InMotion Dance Inc. is “movin’
on out” to the West side! After eight years of servicing the Lorne Park community, we
are currently struggling with issues such as large class sizes, and a desperate need for
at least two studio spaces running simultaneously to further accommodate our dancers
and our parents.
In doing so, we can now allow for more classes that will hopefully be offered at better
and more frequent times in our 6-day class schedule. Also, larger studio spaces will
better suit the growing dancer, offering them more freedom of movement and
creativity.
Imagine providing everything we now offer such as quality dance instruction,
performance opportunities, dance examinations, and year-end performances but now
ALSO having a better facility to run more efficiently.
And BETTER STILL!!…. Effective September 1, 2008 our new location will be at 1109 North
Service Rd. E in Oakville. This location is the current home of WEST END STUDIO THEATRE,
a highly reputable acting studio, under the Artistic Direction of YO MUSTAFA whom we
have had the pleasure of working with through many past Musical collaborations at the
Oakville Center for the Performing Arts, and we continue to amalgamate on such
artistic adventures.
As two separate entities existing under one roof, we will be able to offer our students the
best of both worlds through the artistic disciplines of both dance (InMotion Dance Inc)
and acting (for television/film and stage W.E.S.T). Students will have the opportunity of
working with multiple genres of the theatre, so stay tuned to new classes and
performance opportunities!

InMotion
Dance Company
Lisa and Christine
Brkich founded InMotion Dance Company in 1996. The mandate of the
company is to create and produce new and innovative Canadian works in
both the contemporary and commercial genres, and to educate tomorrow's
professionals through the provision of educational workshops. InMotion
Dance Company seeks to provide an outlet to other artists in fields
such as music, visual art, and both comedic and dramatic theatre. Through
these amalgamations the company provides audiences with a wide variety
of dance in both style and performance. Since its inception four years
ago, InMotion Dance Company has produced seven full-length performances,
a CBC Documentary, and a very successful tour of the Adriatic Coast.
All members of the company are active choreographers as well as dancers,
who together keep the dance in motion.
InMotion
Dance School
InMotion Dance School was developed under the artistic direction
of Christine and Lisa Brkich. The school provides students with technical
training in such disciplines as Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, and Musical
Theatre. Students will be utilizing their performance skills in community
performances and various venues throughout the year including the year-end
performance. Students are provided with the opportunity to work with the
resident professional dance company as well as other well- known professional
choreographers and artists in workshop settings. Many of the students have performed in various community musicals such as
"Oliver!", "Fiddler on the Roof", and "Grease!", performed at the Oakville Centre, and have worked under the direction of Yo Mustafa, and the choreographic direction of Lisa and Christine Brkich. The students have also enjoyed working with Ballet Jorgen under the choreographic direction of Bengt Jorgen, while performing in his production of "The Nutcracker" at the Living Arts Centre in Mississaauga.
